Daughter's will always remain as dad's little princess

No matter how old a daughter will grow, she is always dad's little princess. Though a daughter grows up to be an adult, gets married and has kids, the one person who will always treat her like an angel is dad. Father is the one who cannot bear even a small cut on his daughters hand. I can still see and feel in my dad's eyes the pain he will have if something happens to me.
If I have to go somewhere out, I hear the word "Be careful" till I leave the house. I get so many phone calls asking about my whereabouts. If I say a word against that, all he has to tell is "I am concerned as you are still young". If I remind him how old I am he will always have a readymade answer "no matter how old you are, you are still small".
The same is the story even at my friends place. All my friends father's treat them as a small kid. But that is not the case with their son. Though they are concerned about their son and love them, they have extra care and affection for a daughter.
Even if a daughter grows to be a old women of 40's or 50's, she will still remain as a small little girl in the eyes of her father.

Valentine's day surprise!!!

Knock! Knock! I go and open the door at morning around 8 to see my husband's friend standing at a door with a white bad in his hand. I invite him inside but he is busy on a phone call. He hands over the phone to me and there I listen to my husband's voice on the other end. I was surprised when he wished me "Happy Valentine's Day". That wish itself made me happy. Slowly his friend hands over the flowers to me that my husband had asked him to pick it up on behalf of him and leaves. My face turned red in shyness but was very happy at the same time.
I was very happy with that little gesture because I had started feeling it's celebrated only by unmarried and newly married couple and my husband proved me wrong. I was happy because I stay at my parents place as I have come for my delivery and my husband made it a point to wish me and show his love despite being far. I had not expected this from my husband as I felt that father-to-be would have lost interest in all this. I was overwhelmed because he made me realise, no matter what I will always be loved and taken care off.
No matter how old we grow in a relationship, small gestures of love and care will always make us happy and a child in us will be awaken.
Thank you my dear hubby for that sweet surprise and making me feel special.
Hope to see many more gifts from you in future 😉😜

Puppy! A reason to survive

Meera was sitting in her balcony sipping hot coffee. Since it was Sunday she had all her leisure time. These days she kept herself busy and did all the extra work she could, to deviate her mind. she was very depressed off late and often felt lonely despite being surrounded by friends most of the times.
As she drank coffee she kept thinking of her past. She felt hopeless and dejected. She found no reason for her survival. She was ditched by her boyfriend with whom she had a relationship of 7 years. She fought with her parents for the love of her life and did everything possible to go against her parents. What hurt her more than the breakup was the fact that she did not listen to her parents inspite of their constant reminder that he was a very self centred guy and an opportunist. As her parents said, the guy left Meera for money and married a rich girl.
"Din't he think of me nor our 7 years of relation even once before ditching me to a New girl" thought Meera. Tears started rolling down her cheeks and she felt like giving up on her life.
As she still sat in a balcony, she saw a very old man playing with a dog and feeding the dog. The old man appeared to be very happy playing with dog. The dog followed everywhere the old man went and Meera felt how loyal dogs are compared to human. She thought of getting herself a pet and spending time rather than crying for worthless people and thinking of giving up her life.
The very same day she brought a cute little puppy. She fed the puppy with biscuits, milk etc and played with it. She slowly started forgetting things that happened. She found her happiness through a puppy and enjoyed every moment spent with it. Her depression vanished and she again found a reason to live.
Thanks to the most loyal friend, a puppy!!!

Happiness through the eyes of a child

Friday morning while I was travelling to my office I came across a incident that really touched my heart. If you have ever travelled in Bangalore from one direction to other then you will know the pain of travelling and how bad the traffic is.
My husband stopped the bike at the signal and we were patiently waiting for the light to turn green. I was busy in my thoughts of various things to be completed at office when my attention was deviated towards a small girl who was crying aloud sitting in the car. The girl might be of 7-8 years old and her mom consoling her that she would be picked up early from the school. To console the girl, mom slid her hand inside her handbag, took a chocolate may be an eclairs and gave it to the girl. The girl immediately threw that chocolate out of window and demanded for a Cadbury.
There was a small boy selling flowers at the signal. He arrived towards the car to sell flower when the girl threw chocolate. The boy sincerely picked up the chocolate and streched his hand to hand it over to the girl. The girl refused to take the chocolate and the mom asked the boy to keep the chocolate for himself. The happiness in the boy's eyes was unexplainable. He was on top of his world for receiving that small chocolate. With smiling face he continued selling flowers. Though I did not want the flower, I purchased jasmine flower from him, paid him the money and left as the signal had turned green few seconds back and vehicles behind were honking for us to leave them space.
That chocolate did not make any difference to the girl but the same chocolate made the boy very happy. I could sense the happiness through boy had through his eyes.

I am active in various forums and write numerous things on the forum. So felt I can try blogging and share things here.

A beautiful sunset

A beautiful sunset captured on our last trip. It is always very pleasant and soothing to view the sunset or the sunrise.
